Mobile-based education for hard-to-reach communities.
This innovative program provides local and remote residents with WASH education. Four days a week from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., CHEs hold office hours to respond to residents’ calls and texts. Operators also send educational SMS text messages out to hundreds of subscribers each week.
The Hotline provides invaluable education to community members who may otherwise be inaccessible. It also ensures the sustainability of all MSG community interventions by providing program participants with a platform for following up on what they have learned and show how they are progressing. For technical questions that CHEs are unable to answer, they consult with doctors in the Rorya District to get callers the answers they need.
